In April 2010 the Roman-Catholic Cathedral in Malaya Gruzinskaya street will house 12 concerts of sacred music organized by “De Boni Arte” Charitable Foundation.
The month’s program will be opened by the “Grand Easter Concert” on Easter Sunday, featuring the world-famous soloist ensemble “Moscow Academy of Ancient Music” under the direction of Tatiana Grindenko, an Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation. The ensemble, that was the first in the USSR to state the authentic manner of performing old music as their ‘credo’, will present masterpieces by great Baroque composers J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, A. Vivaldi and H. I. von Biber. The special guest of the concert is the legendary organist Yevgenia Lissitsina of the Riga Dom Cathedral, who will let the Moscow public hear her organ transcriptions of the “Spring” and “Summer” from “The Four Seasons” by A. Vivaldi, a work which has made her famous all over the globe.
The charitable contribution is from 250 to 1000 roubles. Regular listeners are offered discounts. Tickets are available in the Cathedral on the concert day from 6.30 pm. Ticket booking: (499)252-40-51
